A long time ago...
I discovered the world of RPG's with Advanced Dungeons & Dragons back when I was a teenager. I still remember the first character I got to play, a lawful good ranger. I knew nothing about the game, but a friend said just come and try it, I know you will like it... and he was right. I did.
Many years later....
I still love RPGs, I would play them all the time if I could, but things change. Over the years my gaming world has been barren of any game play whether being a player or a dungeon master. Most of my friends have moved on to other walks of life and have left the game far behind. I have bought or 'inherited' their gaming material as well as found or bought items from game stores when I could afford to. I have more than I thought I would ever own, and I would find it hard to get rid of.. for any reason. Maybe one day, I'll pass it down to my daughter or someone that would love it as much or more than I do.
I mostly played AD&D 1st and 2nd editions, and most of my collection would be of those two editions. I also have a fair amount of BattleTech, which was a nice change of pace. I have a small amount of Star Trek, Star Wars, Basic Fantasy RPG, and some other books and modules of other gaming systems that I would or could port over into a campaign if I was to run one.
